WHERE IT ALL STARTED

Hope School Of The Arts began in Johannesburg, South Africa. An institution which focuses on providing a means of knowledge and opportunity to the young artists of South Africa.
We have been running since 2021 and every year has been a new adventure as we are joined by people from all over South Africa and all over the world. HSA is a people, not a place.

EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Since we have schools across the world, students have the opportunity to travel to one of our other schools and spend their time learning the same syllabus in a completely new and exciting environment. No additional costs, and so much to gain.

My journey from Vienna to South Africa was a fever dream. I always knew I wanted to pursue my art elsewhere so taking such a step was very important for me. I was afraid of how different life would be there in every aspect, living wise and artistically, since these two worlds differ but South Africa has made me beyond happy in the past so I knew it was the right place to go.

FINLAND

I moved From Finland to South Africa to dance at HSA and honestly it was such a beautiful experience. Exploring my own artistry and career path while learning about a new culture and meeting new people was such a beautiful way of discovering who I want to be as an artist and as a human.
Such an eye opening year!

Joining HSA as an international student from Germany was an easy decision, it was easy to slip into a daily routine of training at HSA, eating delicious food, learning about various cultures, making new friends that become family, adding Zulu to my language knowledge, and seeing bits and pieces of the beautiful country that Mzansi is. Even though Visa struggles can be a lot, moving to Jozi and training at HSA has been one of the best moves I ever made.
