It was a late start in dance for Hope. He took his first class when he was 18 years old and fell in love with it straight away. He started in Beginners Ballet after which he moved quickly through the different levels until he made his first international journey for dance to The Netherlands. 

After that he slowly started teaching workshops all over Europe, always working hard to make sure his
style had a unique element to it. 

The big momentum shift in his career came after starting to make competition choreographies for international competitions.
He started teaching and making live performances a lot more, especially around Europe, Canada and Africa. 

In 2021 Hope opened Hope School Of The Arts in Johannesburg - South Africa, with the soul purpose of educating the next generation on how to create a sustainable life by being an artist. It was clear for him that talent alone is not enough,
there are the most talented dancers/choreographers in the world that still don’t have the knowledge
on how to build a sustainable life from their talent. 

The vision behind the school is to simply equip you the best as possible so that your art can flourish and you can continue to create whatever art you choose to make while also taking care of the business skills needed to make sure your art feeds you. 

Hope’s really passionated by giving students the best chance for their art to have a long life
and the best chance for that is the business behind the art. 

In 2023 he held his first very own dance intensive in Prague - Czech Republic, The Hope Intensive.
In which he hosted 130 dancers coming from 15 different countries.
Again bringing a unique element to the table by combining dance and the business of the arts at a dance intensive. 

In 2024 he’ll open his second Hope School of The Arts in Europe, Prague.
